What is Education

The duration of course at the undergraduate level varies from one year to two years whereas the education course offered at the postgraduate level is of 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Education

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate

Bachelor of education is an undergraduate for students who are interested in taking up teaching as a profession. The duration of the course is two years and each year is divided into 2 semesters. Bachelor of education is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).


Bachelor of Elementary Education is an integrated professional undergraduate course. The duration of this course is 4 year. The programme is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).


Bachelor of Physical Education is an undergraduate program that deals with sports and physical fitness. This programme is suitable for sports lovers or a physical fitness freak. The duration of this course is 2 to 4 year. Bachelor of Physical Education is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).


Master of Education is a postgraduate course dealing with the pedagogical aspects of teaching. The duration of this programme is usually two years however, in some universities/colleges the duration of this course is 1 year. Master of Education is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).


Master of Physical Education is a postgraduate course in physical education and has subjects dealing with subjects such as sports science, sports psychology, sports research methodology, sports medicine, etc. The duration of the course is two years. M.P.Ed is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
